Traveling abroad requires a passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond your travel dates. Your passport should also have at least two blank pages available for entry and exit stamps.

 Entry Requirements for U.S. Citizens

U.S. citizens are required to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before traveling to Kenya. Travelers cannot enter Kenya without an approved eTA prior to departure. It is strongly recommended that you apply well in advance, as processing times and fees may vary.

When booking your flights, please fly into Nairobi, Kenya — Airport Code: NBO.

 Health & Vaccination

A yellow fever vaccination certificate may be required if you are arriving from or transiting through a country with a risk of yellow fever transmission.

Immigration officials may request supporting documents upon arrival, including:

The currency used in Kenya is the Kenyan Shilling (KES). Please review the current exchange rate before departure.
